Damascus Gate

A different sort of painting project for me!  A sculptural gate was built by Hanna Eady for the Seattle Arab Festival Souk out of board and foam.  When I was asked to paint the gate I studied some old 18th century paintings seemed to indicate that the archway may have been painted in antiquity.   I painted it then as I imagined it might have been originally.
